CHALANT : ロンドン発祥のアーティスト集団。
“HOME FOR THE CREATIVELY AMBITIOUS PEOPLE”
– 「野心的なクリエイティブが集うホーム」をスローガンに音楽家、映像作家、ダンサー、ファッション、美術館、アクティビストなど様々な表現家が集い、作成、イベント、アイデア・エクスチェンジなどの活動をする。

DirectorのElle Shimadaは音楽の人を繋げる力を使って旅して世界各地の人々と繋がり人種やセクシュアリティなどを超えた移民達のグローバル・アンダーグラウンド・ユース・カルチャーをチャンピオンする事を目標に始めた。

アーティストと観客が一体化した、アーティストと観客、ステージとダンスフロア、パフォーマンスと参加の境界を壊し、ヒエラルキーや「私たちと彼ら」という概念を溶解させた体験型イベント、型にハマらないアーティストがありのままに表現できる場所の提供。

Born from London’s underground youth culture, we are artists, event curators, and a music label. We create spaces where art, music and people can thrive unapologetically – no rules, just good music, art, people, anything but nonchalant.
Somewhere between live concert, art installation, idea-exchange hub, and collective healing ritual, CHALANT | Tokyo Chapter features an all female lineup of Tokyo’s boundary pushing artists, DJs and taste makers, offering a high energy dance floor experience breaking the boundaries between artist and audience, stage and floor, performance and participation, dissolving hierarchy and the idea of us and them.
Channeling the uniting power of music and community, director Elle Shimada and CHALANT ll Tokyo chapter invites you to a dance-floor ritual that is inclusive, honest, and raw – a space of warm connection, progressive dialogues, and most importantly, our precious collective joy.
