The 1st anniversary party of the label ‘Play Of Colour’ by three of Japan’s top Deep Tech producers Amps, MINT (JPN) and Yuta Yamada will be held at Saloon.
As a special guest, the party will feature THEOS, who has released on Defected, Shall Not Fade, Kaoz Theory and other well-known labels, and whose piano session with Kerri Chandler at PIV Festival was a hot topic of conversation. After a breakthrough in Europe, this is THEOS’ first visit to Japan, and you won’t want to miss out on his tasteful and amazing set.
Apart from the three label members, the other guests are Kyohei Tanaka, Aoi Kurihara and GooPer, who are all active in Japan.

■THEOS Profile
From a very young age, Théo was immersed in the world of music with two musician parents.
In 2017, he started his career as a DJ, producer and musician under the alias THEOS before moving to London at the end of 2019 to study sound engineering and fully dedicate himself to music at only 17 years old.
On the production side, he draws inspiration from a variety of musical genres that shaped his childhood, ranging from Hip-Hop,Jazz, and Funk to ultimately embracing House music. In 2023, his career takes off : he releases an EP for the third time on the renowned label Shall Not Fade, Kerri Chandler invites him to jam on the piano on stage during his set at PIV Festival and he releases his first EP on the legendary Defected Records with Oden&Fatzo a few days before his 22nd birthday.
As THEOS gained more and more recognition. He found himself playing worldwide with his Hybrid Set, a perfect blend of his DJ and pianist skills, and developing new musical projects with Astels, his new duo influenced by pop sounds and already appreciated by loyal listeners in less than a year

▷Amps
DJ/producer living in Gunma Prefecture.
He started his career in 2008 and released his first EP from the internationally acclaimed domestic indie label TREKKIE TRAX in 2014. Since then, he has performed at major Tokyo clubs such as ageHa, VISION, Contact, WOMB, and asia, as well as DJing all over Japan. He has also expanded his field of activities by planning a domestic tour with Addison Groove and Denham Audio from Bristol, UK. He is now not limited to the dance floor, but is also actively involved in music direction and sound direction for art events. Since 2021, he has rapidly approached tech house/deep tech, releasing “Be On A Roll – EP” from TREKKIE TRAX. In 2023, he became a founding member of the tech house/deep tech label Play Of Color, a Japanese producer, and will work as one of the A&R members. He is currently making his presence known as a Tech House producer that strongly incorporates his jazz and folk music roots, and his songs and edits have been supported by top artists in the scene, such as Skream, Blackchild (ITA), The Martinez Brothers, YOUniverse (ITA), and Daniel Orpi, at parties in Ibiza and around the world, steadily gaining recognition both in Japan and abroad.
▷MINT(JPN)
Takanori Kamiya a.k.a MINT (JPN) is a sound producer focusing on genres like “Tech
House, Minimal / Deep Tech” influenced by the music of Hiroshi Watanabe and SLAKE
in his childhood and was absorbed by electronic music. His appearances on major
labels worldwide have made this great artist one of the most important in the scene,
where he arrives with his music is a success, participating in labels such as: Habitat,
Krad Records, Aparenzza Music, SK LAB, Tonic D Records, Platform7even, Kootz Music,
Beachside Records, Don’t Play Recordings and many many more… His sounds are ready
to make you feel the bass and how this amazing groove puts people to dance all night
long…. It’s pretty solid and special for his sets in the clubs.
▷Yuta Yamada
​In March 2020, he started producing Deep Tech/Deep House under the name Yuta Yamada and DJ sets based on these genres.
He mainly plays at clubs in Tokyo such as Womb and OATH, but he is also expanding his playing field by playing at overseas festivals such as Defected Croatia 2022, Shelter Amsterdam, Barcelona City Hall, and Pimpernel in Munich.
As an organizer, He also hosts the House Party “Be flat.” and Deep Tech/Deep House Party “The Swirl” in order to convey the wonderfulness of House Music to as many people as possible and to make them happy.
As a trackmaker, he has released on labels such as “Rawsome Deep” in US, “Whoyostro” in Ukraine, “Howl Records” in Italy, “Lauter.” in Luxembourg, “Dobar House” in Croatia, “Array Music” in Italy, “Dubnation Records” in Spain, “Nopreset” in Chile and so on.
Also, In November 2023, he established the Deep Tech/Deep House/Tech House label “Play Of Color” with Japanese producers Amps and MINT(JPN), and is focusing on activities to expand the Deep Tech/Deep House/Tech House scene. He is also putting his efforts into activities to expand the Deep Tech/Deep House/Tech House scene.
◼Guest DJs Profile
▷KYOHEI TANAKA
Born in Yamagata Prefecture. Japanese DJ and music producer.
Moved to Tokyo in 2010 and started his DJ career at the age of 18.
He has been active as a DJ in various fields for as many as 230 events a year, including club festivals, live events, exhibition parties, cafes, restaurants, corporate events for car manufacturers such as Porsche Audi and major apparel brands, and collaborations and backing DJs for fashion and art shows in Tokyo and other places in Japan.
He has also appeared on J-WAVE, block.fm, and other radio programs and webcasts, performed at online live streaming festivals overseas, provided DJ mixes, and provided official playlists for Spotify and LINE MUSIC.
As a producer, he made his debut in 2018.
His first release, “Beyond EP,” ranked #3 on the Afro House Top 100 chart on Beatport, the world’s largest paid online dance music download site, and #27 on the Tech House Top 100.
In 2019 and 2020, he released a series of original tracks including “Ware Rave” and “Horizon,” and in 2021, he participated in the Haus it Feelin’ Records compilation album, releasing two tracks including a remix.
Recently, he has also produced and provided music for commercials for Youtubers and artists.
▷Aoi Kurihara
Born in Tokyo. Started music career as a music journalist in 2010 when shewas a student, and has interviewed many popular indie rock bands and musicians from around the world for Japanese music media. Then became interested in dance music as well and started DJing around 2014. DJ style is mixing happy house, funk, disco and electro and different genres based on her experience as not only DJ but as a music journalist. Also she has organized parties, ALL DIE YOUNG since 2015 and focuses on crossover styles and genres. In 2023, she performed on a radio show at Sacré Radio in Paris and also MUTEK JP in Tokyo.
▷GooPer (AÉSTHETIC)
He is the organizer and resident DJ of “AÉSTHETIC TOKYO”, a house music party from Kyushu.
With roots in classical piano, he started his career as a DJ at the age of 22.
He creates a groove with Tech House/UK House as the core, but also uses minimal house.
He organizes parties with the theme of “providing a happy party where even people who don’t know House can dance”.
He co-hosts the Deep Tech Party “UNCONSCIOUS”, which is held irregularly at Enter, with “Play Of Color”, and is working to spread various genres of House culture in Japan.
